Laboratory Technician - Huntington, UT

The position is responsible for performing water analysis according to TNI approved SOPs and Demonstration of Capability.
• Will be trained on the following tests: acidity; alkalinity; ammonia; conductivity; dissolved oxygen; Ion Chromatography; Mercury; Oil&Grease; pH; Settleable Solids; TDS; TSS; Phosphorus; Trace Metals by ICP
• Handle all samples in a timely manner
• Handle all samples according to Laboratory Protocol
All equipment has to be calibrated, maintained and kept in good condition
• Accurately complete and maintain all laboratory reports and forms
• Perform general upkeep and housekeeping of the laboratory
• Assist in all other laboratory assignments and projects assigned by the Water Laboratory Lead Tech, Supervisor and/or Branch Manager
5 days per week (7am-3:30pm), Monday through Friday. Overtime, some holiday and weekend work is required.
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
• Aptitude for basic math concepts and report preparation
• Must have the ability to lift 50 lbs
• Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check prior to employment
• Ability to effectively communicate (written and oral) presenting information individually or in small group situations to internal or external customers
• Ability to execute detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
• Ability to follow directions ensuring the end results are accurate and completed with the required timeframe
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
